FROM FÄRILA TO MONACO

Stanley was born in Färila, a small village in Hälsingland, situated in the North of Sweden. The family was originally from England and came to Sweden in the late 1800s. Stanley was the youngest of four children. His father was a chief inspector at the police but in 1965 the police organization in Sweden changed and his father was offered a new and higher position in a more southernly located town, Motala. This is also the hometown of Reine Wisell who was one of Ronnie Peterson´s rivals in the Formula 3-period. Reine was in Formula 1 with Lotus and also became a mentor for Stanley and his good friend and later associate, Leif Lindström. Stanley and Leif encouraged each other and started several teams together and later they established their own racing series – Swedish Racing League.

Stanley lives in Monaco since 1989, with a break for ten years. He is divorced and has three grown-up children, Daniela, Christofer and Jacob. He spends most of the time with his fiancee, actress Angelika Roberts. The couple have a daughter, Stella, who was born 2013. The family travels a lot, with sailing and skiing as mutual hobbies. Stanley is also working as a consultant in marketing for various companies.
